Fall outlook: trout move shallow as it cools while smallmouth go deeper. Rainbows take dough bait or worms from shore, or trolled gear to 40 feet. Smallmouth hit spinnerbaits, tubes, grubs and crankbaits, and perch school at 6 to 30 feet; vertical jig a worm-tipped jig or spoon.
Statewide, kokanee must be released from Sept. 10 to Nov. 30.
