DWR report dated Sept. 18, 20266 days old, seasonal outlook

Fall outlook: low water should help the bite. Perch numbers are up in the backs of bays, smallmouth are plentiful, and tiger muskie catch rates rose this summer, even from shore. Browns and splake follow spawning kokanee into the Provo Arm to eat eggs. Cutthroat and rainbows pick up from mid-September to ice-on, including on trolled white or green tubes.

Statewide, kokanee must be released from Sept. 10 to Nov. 30.
