Fall outlook: community pond trout stocking usually resumes in late September once water quality improves and continues into late November, with good to great fishing. Trout stay deep in September, then feed at all depths as it cools. Spinners, spoons, minnow lures, marabou or tube jigs, dry-dropper rigs, nymphs, woolly buggers, nightcrawlers and dough bait all work.

- Spanish Oaks Reservoir and Manila Creek Pond: closed Dec. 1 until 6 a.m. on the last Saturday of February.

What fish are in Sunset Pond?
DWR lists bluegill, channel catfish and rainbow trout as likely catches and black bullhead, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed and wiper as possible. Since 2021 DWR has stocked rainbow trout, channel catfish, wiper, bluegill, largemouth bass and sterile grass carp.
